Policy

In display of policies and strategic objectives LAMCO BEKS COASTAL SERVICES NIG. LTD shall communicate her HSE policies and to ensure they are relevant to the organization’s activities, products and services through the display on notice boards, poster and pocket sized/laminated policies, which shall be given to staff, visitors and the entire workforce.

LAMCO BEKS COASTAL SERVICES NIG. LTD shall ensure that its HSE policies and strategic objectives are consistent with those of Client and are of equal importance to its other business policies and strategic objectives, made publicly available.

POLICY STATEMENT ON HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

  • The company will carry out all her activities in such a way that safety of her employees and other people who may be connected with her operation are safeguarded.
  • The company seeks to preserve at all times the health of the employees and sub-contractors.
  • Proper regard will be paid for the protection of the environment.
  • Our activities will be conducted in accordance with relevant government laws and regulations.
  • The policy is applicable to any sub- contractor working on our project.
  • HSE performance of workers will be assessed continually and rewarded accordingly

ANY JOB WE CONSIDER UNSAFE OR THAT CANNOT BE DONE SAFELY WILL NOT BE STARTED.

COMMUNITY AFFAIRS POLICY

  • LAMCO BEKS COASTAL SERVICES NIG. LTD recognizes the importance of the communities while doing their job.
  • It is therefore our policy in the company LAMCO BEKS COASTAL SERVICES NIG. LTD to maintain a good and cordial relationship with our host communities.
  • The management of our company ensures that the warfare of the host communities is taken into consideration while planning for the work execution within the vicinity of the community.
  • The culture and traditions of the host community will be respected.
  • Good relationship will be maintained with host community through dialogue and participation in the projects undertaken by the communities.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY STATEMENT

It is the company’s policy to ensure that employees and business associate are aware of the danger inherent in the abuse of drugs and alcohol. To achieve this, the company wishes to establish the followings:

  • Educate employees on how drugs or alcohol can impair their judgment, affect their performance or even lead to unsafe act.
  • Ban the use, sale or distribution of drugs in the company premises.
  • Employee if suspected, could be made to undergo relevant test.
  • Encourage employees that are addicted to go for medical treatment.

HEALTH POLICY

The health policy of the Company is to preserve and prolong the life of all employees. It is our policy that our personnel must have adequate medical treatment in our retainership clinic in case of accident and injuries that are associated with our activities and to be in healthy condition. At the job site we have certified First Aider to render first aid treatment.

 ACCESS CONTROL POLICY

  • All staff shall be issued with company identity card and enforced at access gate.
  • All visitors shall be issued visitors card to site and offices.
  • No identity card, no entry shall apply to all staff and visitors.
  • All visitors must be cleared/logged in the register at all access gate to work site.
  • Appropriate and adequate safety gears to be provided at all sites.
  • Staff movement shall be logged in a register and authorized by the unit.

Supervisor or HSE adviser or the Client representative on site.

SECURITY POLICY

Our company’s policy on security is that, lives and properties would be protected at all time. We shall also embark on the assessment of security issue and their implication. We would also ensure all our employees are security conscious.

LAMCO BEKS COASTAL SERVICES NIG. LTD would ensure that:

  • Employee protect her assets and properties as well as that of her client.
  • Continuous education on security issues would be given to the workers on a regular basis.
  • Employees would be properly scrutinized before engagement
    • Any case of stealing reported by her employees would be thoroughly investigated and sanction implemented.
    • Effective access control of visitors to work site
    • Provision of ID cards for all workers
    • Effective management of workers movement within the work area and any other Client areas related to the worksite/area

WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY

Our company is aware of the harmful effect of waste to the environment and man especially in the course of our operation. Waste, if not managed properly can lead to deterioration of our health and untidy environment hence the need to dispose waste properly.

Management will ensure the followings:

  • The safety officers shall brief the workforce on the harmful effect of waste to man and the environment.
  • We shall provide waste bins in the office and at the close of the day’s work, it shall be disposed off properly.
  • The designated waste bin provide by Client shall be used for various categories of waste.
  • We shall bring to the awareness of our staff the different categories of waste.
  • We shall abide by all waste management legislation as applicable to our operation.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

It is the policy of LAMCO BEKS COASTAL SERVICES NIG. LTD to preserve the environment in which it operates, work are carried out in the clean and conducive environment.

To this end the company will ensure that:

  • Waste generally shall be segregated at source and disposed off accordingly into the refuse bins.
  • Due regard must be paid to reduce dust.
  • Good housekeeping will be enforced and carried out always.
  • All access should be free from obstruction.

It is expected of every employee to enhance a healthy environment and friendly condition both at home and worksite.
